Rainbow Place, an emergency shelter working with women transitioning out of homelessness, is on a mission to help keep women safe during the harsh winter months – providing a safe place to sleep, meals, access to case management and referrals to treatment programs. But with limited help and resources, Rainbow Place didn’t quite know how to expand the reach of their organization; limiting the ability to spread their message and mission to a wider audience.

A tailored social strategy to heighten storytelling.

Immediately, Artisan Council’s goal was clear – help Rainbow Place strengthen their social media storytelling and feed aesthetic to better and more effectively reach their target audience. Thus better serving their community and those in need of their services, a true win-win for everyone. To strengthen Rainbow Place’s social media impact, we held three educational social media training sessions with the organization. These sessions focused on the most important pieces of a successful social strategy – firstly, an overview that highlighted the importance of defining your target audience – and how to go about doing that – then a focus on best practices for posting and, lastly, how to go about tracking and quantifying channel growth.

After our series of educational sessions, and armed with an entirely new social media savvy, Rainbow Place felt empowered and invigorated – mission accomplished. The organization now feels confident in amplifying their message, using social media as a tool to better showcase and advocate for their essential services and to more accurately reach their target audience.
