Artisan Council is seeking a Senior Account Manager with strong client instincts and sharp attention to detail to be the Client point of contact and manager for several Artisan Council clients. This role is all about client ownership: building long-term relationships, guiding day-to-day execution, and ensuring campaigns run efficiently. You’ll be the client’s go-to across all moving parts – creative, social, influencer, and paid – ensuring cohesion and clarity at each stage. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in social media and influencer marketing, with a passion for beauty, content, and culture.
This position is offered as a remote one, however candidates based in New York who can be present for client meetings upon request, are preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Client Management:
- You will act as the primary point of contact for a diverse set of clients and own the relationship.
- You will be accountable for the client happiness of your accounts, ensuring expectations are managed, needs are met, and feedback is heard and actioned.
- You will lead weekly status calls and campaign check-ins with clients and cross-functional teams.
- You will translate client needs into actionable tasks across internal departments.
- You will proactively identify growth opportunities for the client and work with key team members to pitch new projects that align with client goals.
- You’ll become a trusted point of contact for clients, building rapport through proactive communication, problem-solving, and steady guidance across every touchpoint.
- You will step in confidently to de-escalate potential client issues, providing clarity and maintaining long-term trust.
- Account Management:
- You will own the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of all deliverables across your accounts.
- You will anticipate any potential roadblocks and proactively lead problem-solving with internal teams.
- You will deliver top quality metrics that translate to actionable insights related to the clients KPIs.
- You will own client budgets across retainer and campaign projects, tracking spend, alignment with scope, and flagging opportunities to optimize based on client needs.
- You will shape the development of scopes of work and pricing proposals for new and ongoing projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and budgets.
- Strategic Planning:
- You will support strategic planning for campaigns – partnering with strategists to build actionable plans and guide execution.
- You will organize brainstorms led by key strategists, working with them to synthesize ideas into clear concepts, client-facing decks, and actionable next steps.
- You will comfortably gather and interpret data for competitor, trend, and brand analysis, with the ability to use Google Slides and PowerPoint to visualize data effectively.
- You deliver top-quality metrics, campaign recaps, and competitor reports using social media analytics tools, translating performance data into compelling insights and next steps.
- Team Leadership:
- You will keep internal teams aligned and organized—translating client feedback, timelines, and priorities into clear deliverables and next steps.
- You lead with empathy and structure, utilizing project management tools like Asana and production timelines to assign, track, and monitor the flow of work.
- You will provide thoughtful context and guidance across creative, paid, and influencer teams to ensure high-quality, efficient execution.
- You mentor junior team members when applicable, offering support, feedback, and growth opportunities.
- Cross Team Collaboration:
- You will collaborate with Strategists, Directors, and fellow team members to share learnings, align on best practices, and ensure consistency across the agency.
- You’ll support the key Strategists in identifying opportunities to grow and evolve your accounts, including helping shape scopes and supporting new business pitches.
- You’re a big-picture thinker who thrives on collaboration, problem-solving, and offering strategic input in dynamic situations.
- Note – you must be willing and able to travel when needed for this role
- You will contribute to the #ACGivesBack program – once a year, you will be asked to train selected non-profits in your area of expertise, utilizing your skills for better.
- You will contribute to Artisan Council’s Social Channels and website, by summarizing campaign case studies for social media presentation, as well as contributing key campaign information from your client work throughout the year, to highlight your work on our socials.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS + EXPERIENCE

- 4+ years as a proven account manager, or client-facing role, with a focus on beauty brands, and consumer products.
- Demonstrated expertise in project management, including delegation, time management, and the use of tools like Asana or similar platforms.
- Deep understanding of beauty culture, digital trends, and consumer behavior—with a strong pulse on TikTok, Instagram, and other emerging platforms.
- Proven experience managing social-first campaigns while collaborating with teams to ensure strong performance.
- Creative problem-solver with the ability to support brainstorms and contribute thoughtful ideas.
- Excellent analytical skills and experience with tools like Google Analytics, Meta Insights, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, or similar.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides), Microsoft Office, and content production tools, with the ability to quickly learn new platforms.
- Excellent communication skills – clear, professional, and effective across teams and clients
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and attentive to detail – especially when working under pressure or tight deadlines.
- Willing to work flexibly across time zones and go above and beyond when needed.
- Familiarity with commercial business practices and scopes of work (SOWs) is a plus.
- Ability to research and organize/synthesize information clearly and cleverly.
